viii. Pitting

For all Porsche Cup drivers. **Please read carefully.**

Drivers must exercise caution when entering or exiting pits so as not to cause damage to cars, scoring tower, participants, or spectators.

Drivers are responsible for all the mandated elements of the pit stop. Failure to comply will result in disqualification. Each race has one required pit stop. In order to comply with a complete battery change the following elements must be performed before the race begins and at the stop:

1. The starting battery or battery number one must be clearly wrapped on the end with red electrical tape. This red tape must be visible through the front windshield. Before the race begins a cursory inspection will be made to insure the red battery is in the car. Anything else will result in disqualification.

2. Place the “pit-stop” tape on the driver side or rear window. This is a simple 3m “sign here” arrow tape that must be removed only during the pit stop.

3. The second battery or battery number two must clearly wrapped on the end with green electrical tape. This green tape must be visible through the front windshield.

4. At the end of the race all cars will line up on the starting grid for a quick visual inspection. Pit stop tape tabs must be removed and the green battery must be in the car. Anything else will result in disqualification.
