AMB Transponders

There are a few extra AMB personal transponders available. If you are looking for a good deal contact me asap. They won't last long with the price climbing again.

A quick reminder that every car needs its own AMB transponder in order to be scored properly by the timing and scoring computer. If you have a transponder already please send in your information by email or call.

Email and RSS feeds online.

I've added some web stuff to our Porsche Cup blog. There are a few new things such as the calendar but it's the instant notification stuff I'm interested in.

1 - Add your email address and you'll receive Porsche Cup posts directly to your email box of choice.

2 - Add the RSS feed to your favorite reader (I'm still learning about this crap too).

3 - You can add the Google calendar to your bookmarks or have it notify you of upcoming events.

We'll update the look once the Porsche Cup logo is created. But the page is easy to update and anyone can do it.

P.S. Post your comments on feedback regarding this website.

For those who missed it...

Orientation was last night. Several drivers were missing which was unfortunate. The pit stop process was outlined. This is a new process and will have to be outlined and explained to everyone who was unable to come. Further clarification on the season, track width, mods to the car were all discussed. Visit our thread on RCTech to get the 2007 rules for Porsche Cup and post questions.

We will have a Porsche Cup practice day March 17th after the F1 race. The track will be open around 11:30 if you don't have time to watch the F1 race. We will adjust the track width prior to practice. This will be a great day to break in the car. Have your transponder on hand since we will have lap times announced for testing.

And for your enjoyment:

The 20 car field is catching on...

I found this very interesting after my chat with Fred at Tamiya America... now I'm not taking the credit here but I do find this addition to the TCS weekend coincidental...

2007 TCS Finals Sneak Peek

At this time there will be only 3 classes eligible to win the trip to the Tamiya World Championships in 2007. Those classes are: GT-1, GT-2 and Mini. Additional classes will run at the TCS North American Finals and will qualify for a TCS North American title, trophy and prizes. Those classes are: F103GT, TamTech/Gear Super Cross X, Past Champions Throw Down and the New TamTech Gear GT-01 Porsche Cup 20 car Challenge. (Twenty 1/12-scale Porsches racing wheel to wheel at the Tamiya circuit!)

F103GT-31/LB Aluminum Motor Mount With Cooling Fan

Of course this comes out after many of us have already created a heatsink/cooling set up for the F103GT... Here comes something with the cool factor. In typical 3racing speak:

F103GT-31/LB Aluminum Motor Mount With Cooling Fan
Issues date: 2007-02-16
Unbalanced situation of the motor mount exists as F103GT inherits the weakness of F103. The motor is placed ON the right side. Our innovative aluminum motor mount with the lightweight cutting (F103GT-09/LB) undoubtedly improves the overheat situation and it is hard to resist collision. However we announce that F103GT-09/LB is discontinued now.

We reform this motor mount with the cooling fan added as the latest version ----F103GT-31/LB. Putting the cooling fan ON the left improves the unbalanced and overheated situation. The special pattern ON the mount is another main element to solve the overheat problem. With this aluminum motor mount and the center of gravity is low enough for the F103GT to run fast and stable.

Total weight of the motor mount: 53g
