July 14th is our next scheduled calendar event. This is a team event and the race distance is 4 hours. GT2 Porsche's have their own class but will run with 3 other classes in the same event. Classes are broken down more clearly on the ASERS thread on RC Tech or on the ASERS Blog.

- LMP1 (or P1 as it is often called)

This is an open class but the chassis must fit under the Tamiya Courage shell.

- LMP2 (or P2)

This is basically our F103GT chassis with the Courage shell, 23T or brushless equivalent, and TC foam or rubber. No weight limit.

- GT1

Any 190 4WD chassis, 19T or Brushless equivalent, list of approved shells for this class on the ASERS sites, TC foam or rubber. No weight limit.

- GT2 Porsche Cup

The only changes to this class are TC foam is allowed and no weight limit. Of course no dish rims for all classes.


There are rules for ventilation but the main rule of thumb is the driver side window only may be removed.

This is a fun and challenging event like you've never raced before. The real challenge is to finish and generally outweighs the technical aspect of who's running what. For example GT2 Porsche Cup cars won the last endurance event and stole the podium from vastly superior 4WD chassis with 19T motors. They won due to the chassis efficiency on pit stops and durability. But if you would like to run in another class please try it as the challenge to finish 4 hours without mechanical difficulty is a major technical challenge let alone to drive the car clean without incident.

Team Parker (Parker/McCrea) LMP2 - F103GT 23T/NiMH
Team Kendall (Kendall/Kendall) GT1 - TA04 19T/NiMH/Saleen
Team Ryther (Ryther/Ryther/Ryther) GT1 - LosiXXX 13.5 Brushless/Lipo
Team 801JRB (Thompson/Pester/Wilcox) GT1 - 13.5/Lipo
