Lessons from WCM exhibition round.

WCM is a nice little place to race. Here's some information that might be helpful on your next visit.

Racing is $12 for first class. CASH ONLY. (you might have to run to a gas station that just got their first fax machine so you can guess the look on the face of the attendant when you ask to run your debit card)
Power in the building may not supply enough to your charger if it is running on a/c. Bring a power supply.
Bring your own table and chair. Most racers face the wall. I suggest for comradere that we pit so we face each other and other racers. (such a selfish hobby)
The F103GT will be happiest on foams. 20º - 27º is probably your temp range if on rubber.
Short straight.. maybe 70'. Bring gearing choices.
Carpet sucks up battery life. Plan on less run time than aspalt... maybe by 30%. ( my numbers here might be wacked out since I didn't cyle or repeak before racing.
Track layout is okay but could be more challenging.
I suggest 2x 20 rounds for race times. 20 minutes should work on one well charged pack.

Paul's new paint job:

Anthony brought out the #68 Porsche and it looks great too. Here's the real car it's patterned after:

Bill Hammond brought his Porsche too. Ran two rounds and had to run so didn't get to talk after the racing was over. We get his notes next time. Clete had some ups and downs. All in all I think it was a good time. I also would expect some new drivers to join us next time as it is a fun and easy class. Saturday is the best exposure for sure as we answered a lot of questions about the series and the F103GT.
