Porsche Cup - Presented by SLCF1 Racing Association

We've just finished our first event that included Porsche Cup cars in its own class, GT2, for the Petit Le Mans 2h 45m race held on October 21st in Salt Lake City. As you can see there were several GT2 cars being shared by 2 drivers except for Mark Hinckley from CA and Bruce "Doc" Hickman from WI who drove the Petit Le Mans solo. I'm proud to say that GT2 dominated the overall podium. The numbers were unequal 6 to 3 in favor of GT2 but we still had to drive more laps than the faster GT1 cars.

Porsche Cup is here to stay. As of now there are 8 Porsche Cup cars owned with 2 more that have yet to be built but are bought. So go buy a Tamiya F103GT kit and a 190mm HPI Porsche 911 body (#7335) can come race. We are meeting to make final plans as to how many team races, individual races, carpet races, and endurance races will be counted in the series. The cars are a blast on foams but the fastest lap set by a GT2 car was on rubber tires.

You've never raced on-road before? Or perhaps you've never raced r/c cars before... We will help anyone who wants to come race with us to have a good time racing. Set aside any questions and get involved before the 20 car grid fills up.

Porsche Cup. It's going to be a blast.
